Summary: The Technical Business Analyst role involves becoming a subject matter expert in core system functionality and key business processes while acting as a liaison between business/project teams and the development team. The position requires delivering analysis artifacts, supporting testing, and ensuring that business requirements are translated into technical specifications. The role emphasizes collaboration, data analysis, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project Managers to agree on work breakdown structure and documentation needs for analysis work packages.
  • Estimate effort for analysis deliverables and meet agreed timelines.
  • Read and comprehend detailed business requirements; validate their specificity and achievability.
  • Produce functional specifications for the required solution.
  • Maintain high-quality analysis artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the Development team in translating functional specifications into technical specifications.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to verify inbound data and address defects and data gaps.
  • Determine enhancements to the data model based on project data requirements.
  • Collaborate within the BA team to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  • Define functional and regression test approaches and manage test plan creation.
  • Review test observations and manage issue closure for deliveries.
  • Support functional and regression testing as required.
  • Report on risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and provide status updates on analysis deliveries.
  • Achieve excellent business understanding, including knowledge of products and regulatory reporting processes.
