Our client is a leading market maker of Credit products on major Dealer to Client platforms and Credit technology plays a vital part in this role.
Credit Technology is a global team with engineers in US, Germany and India.
Job description
The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding business requirements, analysing workflows and data and translating business objectives into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.
The role spans the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and process analysis through solution design, testing, implementation and adoption.
You will play a key role in modernising and enhancing the technology platforms supporting Cash Flow Trading, balancing strategic transformation, production stability and day-to-day business needs.
What you'll do
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and technology teams to support the modernisation and enhancement of Cash Flow Trading platforms.
- Elicit, analyse, document and manage business requirements, user stories, functional specifications and process flows to support strategic technology initiatives and production improvements.
- Act as a hands-on Business Analyst, investigating issues across multiple layers of the technology stack to identify root causes and provide effective solutions.
- Analyse trading, operational, and technology data to identify trends, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver actionable insights that support business decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements clarification, testing support, implementation, and change management activities.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive alignment across business and technology functions.
- Leverage market and trading system knowledge, including tools such as Bloomberg, to understand business workflows and support effective technology solutions.
The skills you'll need
- Strong Business Analysis experience within investment banking or capital markets, with a good understanding of front-office trading businesses and supporting technology platforms.
- Proven ability to gather, document and manage business requirements, user stories, process flows and functional specifications across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to analyse trading, operational and technology data, identify trends, define KPIs and produce actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Experience working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and development teams in an agile delivery environment, supporting testing, implementation and change management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively, facilitate workshops and drive consensus across business and technology teams.
- Technical background with understanding of Java to navigate files and logs.
