Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update technical content using Adobe InDesign.
- Utilize 3D CAD data from TeamCentre/VisMockup to generate layered images in Adobe Photoshop.
- Facilitate discussions with Subject Matter Experts to consolidate input for publication.
- Ensure documentation is customer-focused and suitable for translation into multiple languages.
- Manage updates according to the BEMM loading/capacity chart.
Key Skills:
- Expert in Adobe InDesign.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Catia 5, TeamCentre, VisMockup, Sharepoint, Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Position description TECOSIM is expanding our dynamic Engineering team as part of our ongoing growth. We are looking for a talented Technical author to join our clients team based in Basildon. This role would best suit someone who is an expert in Adobe design, proficient in Photoshop and Vismockup. This role required a strong technical understanding of body and equipment mounting to create manuals. Using a documented authoring method, update or create new technical content in Adobe InDesign. Must be familiar with Class Styles, Anchoring & Hyperlinks, Tables and Image flattening as a minimum. Use 3D CAD data from TeamCentre / VisMockup to create layered images in Adobe Photoshop and generate new content that explains the issue/changes with annotations as required. Import the new images/content into Adobe InDesign and create a draft BEMM document for review. Use the draft BEMM to consolidate input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and agree the content for publication. When required, facilitate cross-functional discussions to broker an agreed consensus. Once approved by SMEs, update the Adobe InDesign file in the relevant section(s) of the BEMM. When authoring, consider that the document will be translated into 7 European languages and remain customer-focused throughout. Work to the BEMM loading/capacity chart to manage updates and support the Senior Engineer.
Skills required Expert in Adobe In-Design. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Catia 5, TeamCentre, VisMockup, Sharepoint, Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Outstanding communication skills, both written & oral
Experience required Awareness of language translations when creating new content. Prior experience of Ford systems/tools.
