JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with strong expertise in Java Back End development and a proven track record in the Banking/BFSI domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications, defining technical architecture, and leading Back End engineering teams to deliver robust banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure Back End architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
• Define application architecture, technical standards, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Lead the development of microservices-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate banking requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and integrate banking systems, including payments, core banking, lending, account management, and transaction processing platforms.
• Ensure compliance with banking security standards, data protection requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Drive performance optimization, high availability, fault tolerance, and application scalability.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor development teams.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud deployment, and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architectural solutions.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.
• Expertise in REST APIs, distributed systems, Multithreading, and design patterns.
• Strong understanding of database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
• Knowledge of application security, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and secure API design.
• Experience with system design, solution architecture, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git-based version control.

Banking Domain Requirements

• Strong experience working on Banking/BFSI applications.
• Understanding of core banking systems, payment processing, digital banking, lending, or transaction banking.
• Knowledge of banking integrations, financial transactions, reconciliation, and data security.
• Familiarity with banking standards and protocols such as ISO 20022, SWIFT, or PCI DSS, where applicable.

Required Experience

• 12-18 years of overall IT experience, with substantial experience in Java Back End development.
• Proven experience in a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or equivalent senior technical leadership role.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale banking applications.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume transaction processing and mission-critical banking systems.
• Exposure to event-driven architecture, domain-driven design (DDD), and CQRS.
• Relevant cloud or architecture certifications are an advantage.
