Summary: The Technical Architect role in Investment Management is focused on guiding the future application and technology landscape of the Investments business. Key Responsibilities:
- Support PMS selection by assessing vendors, architecture, and integration; provide technical guidance.
- Conduct eFront technical reviews, assessing architecture, scalability, performance, and integration.
- Review core platforms (Dynamics 365, Power BI, Affinity) for integration, data flow, and architecture.
- Review data governance, consistency, and domain alignment; recommend improvements to data foundations.
- Define target application architecture and technology strategy, including a transition roadmap.
Key Skills:
- Proven Technical Architect experience in Investment or Asset Management.
- Strong knowledge of Portfolio Management Systems and front-to-back investment platforms.
- Experience with third-party vendor implementation review and governance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory skills.

About the Role
We need an experienced Technical Architect with strong Investment Management expertise to strategically guide our Investments business's future application and technology landscape. This advisory role shapes key architectural decisions, driving the organization toward a target state aligned with banking strategy and industry best practices. Influence the long-term technology direction of the Investments function amidst a growing portfolio of change initiatives.
Initial Focus Areas:
- PMS Assessment: Support PMS selection, assessing vendors, architecture, and integration; provide technical guidance.
- eFront Technical Review: Assess architecture, scalability, performance, integration, and target state alignment. Recommend optimisation and risk mitigation.
- Enterprise Platform Review: Assess core platforms (Dynamics 365, Power BI, Affinity) for integration, data flow, and architecture.
- Data & Information Architecture: Review data governance, consistency, and domain alignment; recommend strengthening Investments' data foundations.
- Target Architecture Definition: Define Investments' target application architecture and technology strategy, including a transition roadmap.
Required Experience
Proven Technical Architect experience in Investment or Asset Management. Strong knowledge of Portfolio Management Systems, front-to-back investment platforms, data architecture, and enterprise integration. Experience with third-party vendor implementation review and governance. Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic advisory skills. Experience defining target-state architectures and transition roadmaps.
Desirable Experience
Banking/financial services, private markets/alternative investment systems, enterprise data governance, and cross-functional (business/technology) experience in complex organizations is desirable.
