Summary: The Salesforce Solutions Architect is responsible for providing architectural leadership within an Agile Scrum team, focusing on delivering scalable and high-quality solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met and aligned with Salesforce best practices. The architect is tasked with translating business needs into sustainable solutions while maximizing the use of native platform capabilities. The position is a fixed-term contract based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical authority for Salesforce solutions within the Scrum team
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts during backlog refinement to assess feasibility, define user stories, and identify risks
- Support sprint planning with architectural input on design, complexity, and delivery approach
- Guide developers during sprints to ensure alignment with architecture and best practices
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Platform
- Define architecture patterns for data modelling, automation, integration strategies, and security models
- Produce key architecture artefacts such as solution diagrams, data models, and integration designs
- Provide clear technical guidance to developers and administrators
- Advise on Salesforce capabilities and recommend optimal solutions
- Prioritise out-of-the-box and declarative solutions over custom development
- Guide the use of Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Platform Events, and Salesforce APIs
- Ensure compliance with platform limits, performance standards, and best practices
- Design and validate integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools
- Ensure data flows, ownership, and synchronisation models are well defined and scalable
- Ensure alignment with organisational architecture and governance standards
- Conduct design reviews to maintain quality, scalability, and maintainability
- Identify and mitigate technical risks early
- Promote strong documentation, testing, and delivery standards
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders
- Translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide balanced recommendations considering business value and technical feasibility

- Strong experience with Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Platform
- Hands-on knowledge of Flow and declarative automation
- Apex development and Lightning Web Components expertise
