Summary: The Technical Architect role requires expertise in support, implementation, and solution design for large public cloud implementations, particularly Azure. Candidates should have a strong background in core technologies and MuleSoft API management, along with experience in designing secure and high-performing technology solutions. IT security and risk experience in regulated environments is advantageous, and excellent communication skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, implementation, and solution design for large public cloud implementations, preferably Azure.
  • Exposure to core technologies including Windows, Linux, Web, Middleware, Database, Security Gateways, and LAN/WAN Networking.
  • Design secure, high-performing, and highly available technology solutions with requirements traceability.
  • Contribute to IT security and risk management as part of an architecture role.
  • Work in highly regulated environments, such as financial services.
  • Utilize knowledge of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Assess audience and communicate effectively to influence stakeholders.
  • Engage in contractual due diligence as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Support, implementation, and solution design experience in public cloud (preferably Azure).
  • Core technology knowledge (Windows, Linux, Web, Middleware, Database, Security Gateways, LAN/WAN Networking).
  • Experience with MuleSoft API management.
  • IT security and risk management experience.
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services).
  • Degree or HND in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant technical and business qualifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL) are desirable.

Your skills: Support, Implementation and Solution Design exposure to large Public Cloud implementations (Preferably Azure) is essential. Support, Implementation and Solution Design exposure to core Technologies (Windows, Linux, Web, Middleware, Database, Security Gateways, LAN/WAN Networking) and specifically MuleSoft API management is essential. Experience of designing (including requirements traceability) secure, high performing, highly available Technology Solutions is essential. IT Security and Risk experience as part of an Architecture role is essential. Experience of working in highly regulated environment (eg Financial Services) is an advantage. Degree or HND in Information Technology are desirable but not essential - Equivalent experience considered. Relevant Technical and Business Qualifications (eg. TOGAF, ITIL) are desirable, but not essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to assess the audience and pitch / influence appropriately.
