Summary: The Technical Architect role involves leading the design and transformation of legacy technology platforms within a Unified Virtual Management (UVM) Infrastructure environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical architecture design for Legacy system integration and transformation.
- Develop modernisation strategies while supporting the continuity of existing UVM-based infrastructure.
- Conduct architecture assessments of Legacy platforms and recommend scalable, secure upgrades.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership in projects involving UVM, hypervisors, and virtual infrastructure.
- Translate business requirements into architectural blueprints and solution designs.
- Ensure architecture aligns with enterprise standards, performance, and resilience goals.
- Support risk analysis, migration planning, and technical assurance for ongoing changes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect working on legacy systems modernisation.
- Strong understanding of UVM (Unified Virtual Management) or similar virtual infrastructure environments.
- Background in infrastructure architecture, systems integration, and virtualisation.
- Experience in mainframe Legacy platforms.
- Familiarity with migration approaches, especially phased or hybrid transition models.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and technical documentation skills.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud integration (Azure, AWS) for hybrid legacy-modern environments.
- Exposure to ITIL, TOGAF, or other architectural frameworks.
