Summary: A Senior Technical Architect is needed for a 6-month contract in a hybrid role based near Milton Keynes, requiring SC or DV Security Clearance. Key Responsibilities:
- Work in an SC Security Cleared environment, requiring SC or DV Clearance.
- Manage and explain technical complexities to stakeholders.
- Utilize technologies in enterprise and virtual environments, including Hybrid Cloud and network technologies.
- Create technical and architectural documents such as options assessments and designs.
- Implement DevSecOps practices for automation and improvement in development processes.
- Oversee requirements management and ownership.
- Design and migrate to public cloud capabilities in M365/Azure and AWS.
- Maintain knowledge of auditing and security product configurations.
- Understand NCSC, GDS, CIS, Cyber Essentials, and NIST IT security principles.
Key Skills:
- SC or DV Security Clearance.
- Experience with server/operating systems (Microsoft and Linux).
- Knowledge of network technologies including Hybrid Cloud, Gateways, PKI, VMware, Cisco, and Palo Alto.
- Experience in creating technical documentation.
- DevSecOps experience in CI/CD processes.
- Experience in requirements management.
- Knowledge of public cloud capabilities in M365/Azure and AWS.
- Understanding of auditing and security configurations.
- Familiarity with UK government technology strategies and policies.
- Desirable experience in Matrix organization structures, IaC, Containerisation, and Microservices.

A Senior Technical Architect with SC or DV Security Cleared required by our government services client based near Milton Keynes. Commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton, North London.
Working in an SC Security Cleared environment. SC or DV (Developed Vetting) Clearance required, due to the urgency of the role, or you will be eligible to undertake clearance. Excellent people skills and an ability to explain and understand technical complexity.
Experience in relevant roles, including technologies in enterprise and virtual environments and of working within a secure environment such as the MOD, CTP and Home Office.
Experience of server/operating system (Microsoft and Linux), network technologies, as a minimum:
Hybrid Cloud, Gateways, PKI, Email, VMware virtualisation platforms (including VCD, VSAN, and NSX), SASE architecture, Cisco, Palo Alto
Experience creating technical and architectural documents such as options assessments, low and high-level technical designs.
DevSecOps experience in automation and improvement in development and release processes (Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery).
Experience of requirements management and the ownership of requirements.
Experience in design and migration to public cloud capabilities in M365/Azure and AWS.
Working knowledge of auditing and security products configuration.
A comprehensive understanding of NCSC, GDS, CIS, Cyber Essentials, and NIST IT security principles, along with experience in UK government technology strategies and policies.
Desirable
Worked in a Matrix organisation structure.
