Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing complex acquisition and restructuring transactions in corporate and fund structures.
- Gaining a thorough understanding of large fund structures and verifying accounting entries.
- Performing account reconciliations and ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
- Reviewing and validating general ledger entries and journal postings within financial systems such as Yardi.
- Leading on determining accounting treatments and assessing adherence to legal documents.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. UK GAAP and IFRS).
- Collaborating with internal teams to clarify financial data and remediate records.
- Supporting client-facing and business support teams in cleansing data for advanced system functionality implementation.
Key Skills:
- Experience in the Real Estate industry or transferable skills from another industry.
- Experience in forensic/technical accounting or audit.
- ACCA or ACA qualified is preferable.
- Investigative mindset and thorough approach to work.

We are looking for a technical and detail-oriented accountant to join our fund accounting team on a 6 month fixed-term basis. This highly numerical position focusses on reviewing and analysing accounting records to ensure completeness and accuracy, through complex consolidation structures in the Real Estate industry, under the direction of a Senior Financial Reporting Manager.
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing complex acquisition and restructuring transactions in corporate and fund structures, including consideration of transaction and legal documentation, and verifying accounting entries
- Gaining a thorough understanding of large fund structures, verifying that accounting entries are made at the correct level of the consolidation
- Performing account reconciliations and ensuring that supporting documentation is complete and accurate
- Reviewing and validating general ledger entries and journal postings within financial systems such as Yardi
- Leading on matters such as determining accounting treatments, assessing adherence to legal documents, and complex acquisition / restricting reviews, with the support of the Senior Financial Reporting Manager
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. UK GAAP and IFRS)
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify financial data and remediate records
- Supporting the client facing and business support teams in cleansing data to support the implementation of advanced system functionality
What we're looking for
- Experience in the Real Estate industry is preferable, although transferrable skills from another industry will be considered
- The candidate will have experience in forensic / technical accounting or audit
- ACCA or ACA qualified is preferable
- The ideal candidate will have an investigatve mindset, thorough approach to your work and keen sense of accuracy
