Summary: The Tech Business Analyst role focuses on providing technical business analysis support for product and client-led change projects within the settlement module of the Post Trade Processing platform. The position requires collaboration with product managers and development teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of product features. Candidates should have experience in Equities or Fixed Income, along with strong technical skills in SQL, Linux, and API integrations. The role is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement of two days in the office per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the product manager, development and QA teams throughout the software development life cycle to plan and agree solutions, ensuring that they are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and analyse the impact on the application from the introduction of new product features, and facilitate the breakdown of product requirements into technical work items.
  • Liaise with other internal product and development teams to ensure that cross requirements are captured and documented as appropriate.
  • Create, update and maintain product features specifications as required.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the securities industry flows, especially around SWIFT MT/MX messaging in the context of trading, clearing and settlement.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency in Linux, SQL, REST API integrations, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret interface specifications.
  • Ability to interpret broad industry initiatives into detailed format requirements.
  • Proven ability to research, analyse and generate scope and business requirements documents.
  • Proven ability to analyse and breakdown product level requirements to technical work items.

Rate - Negotiable

Duration - 6 months rolling

Office - Bank (2 days per week)

Manager notes: Ideally looking for someone with Equities or Fixed Income exp, using Swift in recent roles and also strong technical skills with SQL, Linux and API.

Role:

You will provide technical business analysis support for product and client led change projects targeting the settlement module of the Post Trade Processing platform. You will ensure that changes to product features are fully assessed to enable a suitable solution to be developed. Specifically, you will:
