Summary: The role of Team Manager within the Locality/Safeguarding Team in Gloucestershire involves leading and managing a team of Social Workers to deliver statutory duties and improve services for children, young people, and families. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Social Workers in the Safeguarding Team.
- Ensure the delivery of statutory duties and improvement of services to children, young people, and families.
- Supervise and quality assure the work of Social Workers.
- Conduct reflective supervision meetings to support team members' personal and professional growth.
- Allocate and oversee cases of children within the defined area, maintaining quality standards.
- Support Social Workers in identifying risks and making protective decisions.
Key Skills:
- Experience in safeguarding and managing Social Workers.
- Knowledge of court work, Child Protection (CP), Children in Need (CIN), and Children in Care (CIC).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to foster a high-performance culture.
- Registered with the Social Work England (SWE) as a Qualified Social Worker.
- Driving license and access to a car preferred.
