The Role
- Lead and develop the Design Technology department, promoting excellence in teaching and learning.
- Teach engaging and challenging Design Technology and Food Preparation & Nutrition lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment and achievement.
- Support, mentor and develop colleagues within the department.
- Ensure resources, workshops and specialist facilities are managed effectively and safely.
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and play an active role in school life.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider school community.

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Significant experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting.
