Teaching Assistant

Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in a school environment. The role involves assisting the class teacher, working with pupils individually and in groups, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of all pupils, including those with additional needs, while promoting positive relationships and classroom behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities.
• Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom materials.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to support learning, both in and outside of the classroom.
• Help to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships.
• Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities as required.
• Support children with additional needs, including those with SEND, under the direction of the teacher or SENCO.
• Maintain a safe and clean learning environment, in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Provide general administrative support, such as photocopying and record-keeping.

• Experience working in a school setting or with children (desirable but not essential).
