We are looking for an exceptional Talent Executive to join the team behind Red Nose Day.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly connected, strategic and experienced Talent Executive who thrives on securing world-class talent and helping deliver one of the UK's most iconic fundraising television events.
Working closely with Comic Relief and BBC Studios, you will help shape and deliver the overall talent strategy for Red Nose Day, identifying the talent partnerships, appearances and collaborations that generate excitement, create cultural conversation and drive fundraising impact.
Key responsibilities
- Jointly develop the overall talent strategy for Red Nose Day, working collaboratively across Comic Relief, BBC Studios and key production partners.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring talent activity aligns with the charity's campaigns, priorities and fundraising objectives.
- Identify and secure a diverse mix of world-class talent, household names, cultural icons and emerging voices across TV, music, comedy, sport, digital and popular culture.
- Develop a talent mix that combines globally recognised names with the most exciting new talent and rising stars.
- Generate ambitious talent-led ideas, partnerships and appearances that create unforgettable Red Nose Day moments, drive national conversation and deliver significant press, audience and fundraising impact.
- Work closely with the development team to identify talent opportunities that support editorial ambitions and fundraising goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with agents, managers, publicists and talent representatives across the UK and internationally.
- Lead talent negotiations and oversee talent communications throughout the development and production process.
- Support the transition from development into production, ensuring talent plans are effectively delivered in the lead-up to Red Nose Day.
- Identify opportunities for exclusive, unexpected and culturally relevant talent moments that reinforce Red Nose Day's position as one of the UK's biggest television events.
Person specification
- Essential criteria
- Significant experience working as a Talent Executive or in a senior talent booking role on major entertainment productions, live events or large-scale television campaigns.
- Confidence in developing bespoke, talent-specific ideas in collaboration with the wider development team and successfully pitching those ideas to talent, agents and reps.
- A proven track record of developing and delivering successful talent strategies.
- An exceptional network of contacts across talent, management and agency communities in both the UK and internationally.
- Experience securing high-profile A-list talent and managing complex talent negotiations.
- Excellent strategic, editorial and creative judgement.
- Outstanding negotiation, relationship management and communication skills.
- Desirable criteria
- Strong awareness of emerging talent, new creators and culturally relevant voices across entertainment and digital platforms.
- The ability to build relationships with talent, agents, reps, broadcasters & key stakeholders.
- Experience working with charities, large-scale campaigns or purpose-led productions.
