Summary: The Tableau Report Builder/Administrator role is a 6-month contract position requiring expertise in Tableau dashboard development and administration. The candidate will design and optimize dashboards, manage Tableau environments, and empower business users through training. A strong focus on data-driven decision-making and best practices in analytics is essential. The position is primarily remote with occasional travel to the Letchworth office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize high-quality, visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain data preparation workflows using Tableau Prep, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and fit for analysis.
- Administer Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environments, including user management, permissions, extracts, and performance tuning.
- Enforce and promote Tableau best practices around dashboard performance, visual storytelling, and user experience.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable insights, and deliver effective reporting solutions.
- Lead training sessions and coach business users on building their own dashboards and interpreting data outputs.
- Support governance efforts by establishing guidelines for dashboard development, documentation, and data security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau dashboards, data connectivity, and platform performance.
- Stay current on Tableau releases, new features, and industry trends to continually enhance the analytics ecosystem.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Tableau dashboard development and administration.
- Proficiency in Tableau Prep and data preparation workflows.
- Strong understanding of analytics best practices and data visualization techniques.
- Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration.
- Ability to train and coach business users on dashboard creation and data interpretation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of current Tableau features and industry trends.
