Summary: A Tableau Engineer is sought for a leading global Trading firm to support Front Office, Risk, and Data teams with advanced data analytics and real-time visualisation. The role involves designing, building, and optimising data workflows and dashboards, as well as working with Python to create ETL pipelines. The position requires collaboration with traders and stakeholders to ensure high-quality data automation. This is a 6-month rolling contract with hybrid working arrangements in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimise data workflows and dashboards using Tableau.
- Develop ETL pipelines and streamline complex workflows using Python.
- Collaborate with Front Office traders, Risk teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Ensure best practices in automation and data quality across the business.
- Work on Greenfield builds and optimise existing analytics platforms.
- Build trading, risk, and operational dashboards.
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial experience in Tableau.
- Some experience in Python, particularly with ETL pipelines and automation.
- Hands-on SQL and API integration experience.
- Experience in building dashboards within financial services or energy sectors.
- Understanding of data visualisation best practices.

As a Tableau Engineer, part of this role will involve work in Python, where you’ll be responsible for building ETL pipelines, streamlining complex workflows, and creating dynamic dashboards that bring real-time market and risk data to life. You will also collaborate closely with Front Office traders, Risk teams, and senior stakeholders, taking full accountability for your deliverables and ensuring best practice in automation and data quality across the business.
As a Tableau Engineer, you’ll be working on Greenfield builds as well as optimising existing analytics platforms across Trading, Risk, and Data teams.
This Tableau Engineer role is a 6 month rolling contract.
Rate on this Tableau Engineer role is paying up to £650 per day, Inside IR35.
Hybrid working: 2 days a week from London-based Offices, a short walk from Liverpool Street Station.
Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, APIs Experience needed for this Tableau & Alteryx Specialist Role; Strong commercial experience in Tableau and some Python (ETL pipelines, macros, automation) Hands-on SQL and API integration experience for working with complex datasets Experience building trading, risk, and operational dashboards (ideally within financial services or energy) Understanding of data visualisation best practices and stakeholder-facing delivery Technical skills: Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python
