Summary: The Systems V and V Engineer role involves a long-term contract assignment based in Stevenage or Bristol, requiring on-site presence for two days a week. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate with high-level technical responsibility for the entire product life cycle, from design and development to qualification and deployment.
- Bridge the gap between design and production to ensure compliance with requirements for complex, high-reliability systems.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and liaise with customers for system acceptance.
- Utilize general-purpose test equipment for testing and evaluation.
- Ensure adherence to safety-critical standards in aerospace, defence, or rail sectors.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of electronics or mechanical systems, with a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Expertise in operating general-purpose test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Knowledge of safety-critical standards, particularly in aerospace, defence, or rail sectors.
- Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and communicate effectively with customers.
- Hands-on experience with DOORS & DOORS NG, SysML & Rhapsody (training provided if needed).
- Experience in Design for Testability (DfT) and testability.
- Desirable knowledge of RF/Microwave systems.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronics or mechanical systems, a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Hands-on Experience: Expertise in operating general-purpose test equipment (eg, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Industry Standards: Knowledge of safety-critical standards, particularly within aerospace, defence (eg, MOD), or rail sectors.
- Communication: Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and liaise with customers for system acceptance.
- Hands-on experience of DOORS & DOORS NG, SysML & Rhapsody would be desirable, but training will be provided where needed.
- Experience in DfT and testability.
- RF/Microwave systems knowledge would be desirable.
