Summary: The Systems Test Engineer role at Warwick University involves operating the Environmental Chassis Emissions Dyno and supporting the Lead Engineer in technical engagements with academia and third-party engineering teams. The position requires hands-on preparation and testing of vehicles, as well as reporting on test data. The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and transferring knowledge to team members. This contract position is critical for the ongoing operation of advanced automotive testing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Environmental Chassis Emissions Dyno and prepare vehicles for testing.
- Engage with clients and third-party engineering teams to understand test requirements.
- Report on test data and provide explanations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and ISO standards.
- Transfer knowledge and provide training to new team members.
Key Skills:
- Experience with AVL SCADA, PUMA, CAMEO & ETAS INCA.
- Knowledge of ICE emissions measurement and quality evaluation.
- Experience in rig/laboratory-based technical testing of ICE systems.
- Strong planning and program management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at an operational level.
