Summary: As a Systems Engineer, you will be integral to the planning, design, analysis, and management of systems, balancing office-based tasks with on-site engagements. Your role will involve managing engineering activities, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to project requirements and certification standards. You will also be responsible for risk management and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with facilities engineering discipline leads to define tasks and create Statements of Work.
  • Partner with client leadership to deliver project goals and explore growth opportunities.
  • Manage project workloads, schedules, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Prepare and review engineering effort estimates and work packages.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Champion customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate transparently with cross-functional engineering teams, providing clear updates and reports.
  • Define and lead governance meetings to monitor and guide project progress.
  • Apply best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to current engagements.
  • Conduct technical studies and feasibility assessments, including site visits.
  • Develop and maintain detailed requirement specifications and technical documentation.
  • Support projects throughout the engineering lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
  • Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse project stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adapt to evolving project requirements, ensuring all relevant parties are informed of changes.
  • Peer review and compile high-quality technical reports and deliverables.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle—from concept to operations and maintenance.
  • Experience with Requirements Engineering, including Use Case development through to Certification.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and IBM DOORs.
  • Experience in design and construction phases; experience in dock environments is a plus.
  • Current Security Clearance needed for this role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently handle project discussions and communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Salary (Rate): £50,000
