Summary: A leading IT Consultancy is looking for a Systems Engineer to work on a long-term contract with a prominent Financial Services client. The role requires a strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking, with a focus on server engineering and IoT devices. The position involves onsite work in Canary Wharf three times a week. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in technical environments and project management related to IoT technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on server engineering, system analysis, and IoT devices.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including vendors and internal teams.
- Manage project tasks related to migration, deployment, and testing of IoT devices.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and communicate complex information effectively.
- Provide L2 and L3 support within the IT framework.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
Key Skills:
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking.
- Knowledge of APIs, cloud-based technologies, and hybrid work models.
- Familiarity with SaaS applications, SAML, and OIDC.

The Systems Engineer must have the following skills/experience:
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking, with a focus on server engineering, system analysis, and IoT devices
- Knowledge of APIs, technical environments, and troubleshooting, including experience with cloud-based technologies and hybrid work models
- Familiarity with SaaS applications, SAML, and OIDC, as well as experience with device configuration and hardware
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write documentation and communicate effectively
- Experience working with IoT devices, including understanding of device configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including Firewalls, load balancers, and Proxy Servers
- Understanding of IT framework, including L1, L2, and L3 support, with a focus on L2 and L3 roles
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including vendors, internal teams, and external partners
- Experience with project management, including migration, deployment, and testing of IoT devices
- Strong understanding of security protocols, including encryption, authentication, and authorization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines
