Summary: The Systems Engineer will join a Product Development team to support future air vehicle programmes, leveraging their expertise across various stages of the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include innovating engineering processes, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring alignment with the FCAS Digital Engineering Roadmap. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver integrated product development solutions. The position also involves mentoring early-career engineers and liaising with international partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating a target state vision for capability areas based on engineering best practices.
- Innovating and delivering engineering processes, technology, and culture for FCAS product development.
- Ensuring alignment with the FCAS Digital Engineering Roadmap.
- Co-designing and delivering product development solutions with stakeholders and vendors.
- Executing proof-of-concept and proof-of-value demonstrations.
- Leading business change and communicating with stakeholders.
- Building and leading a multi-disciplinary team for the FCAS Programme.
- Developing early-career engineers to grow the team.
- Liaising with international and UK partners for solution deployment.
- Building relationships with toolset vendors for maximum value and feature requests.
