Summary: As a Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in the operation, support, and development of administrative systems and data flows within the organization. Your collaboration with academic and professional services teams will be essential in resolving system issues and enhancing processes. The position requires a proactive approach to support major annual activities and improve overall system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting and enhancing registry and student records systems (including enrolment, timetabling, assessments, progression and graduation)
- Investigating and resolving complex data and systems issues
- Contributing to system testing, upgrades and process improvements
- Supporting transnational or partnership-based education data and records
- Producing reports, validating data and supporting compliance-related activities
- Delivering training and guidance to colleagues on system use
- Working flexibly across teams, including during peak operational periods
Key Skills:
- Educated to HND/SVQ Level 4 or equivalent, or relevant practical experience
- Experience working with complex databases or information systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience contributing to reports or documentation
- Well-developed ICT skills, including Microsoft applications
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience within higher education or a regulated environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with student records, timetabling or programme management systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of compliance or governance processes (desirable)
- Experience in system development, process improvement or data analysis (desirable)
