Systems Accountant

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Accountant to join the finance team of a leading organisation within the energy sector.

This role will support the business's finance systems, drive process improvements, and act as the finance representative on key systems and transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for finance systems, resolving transactional and month-end issues.
• Drive SAP FI/CO and Joint Venture (JV) system improvements, including testing and implementation.
• Develop and improve financial reporting through automation and process enhancements.
• Support finance transformation projects and new system implementations.
• Ensure financial data quality and compliance with internal controls.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to finance system users.

About You

• Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong SAP ERP experience, particularly SAP FI/CO (JV experience advantageous).
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Previous experience within the energy, oil & gas or a complex commercial environment is desirable.
