Summary: The role of Systems Accountant involves driving continuous improvement in finance operations within a major transformation project in the public sector. The position requires collaboration with management to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and support various transformation initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing project scopes, timelines, and budgets while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with financial standards. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office, and is initially offered as a six-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement across finance operations.
- Review service delivery and identify efficient working methods.
- Support transformation projects including system upgrades and reporting automation.
- Define project scopes, manage timelines, and identify risks.
- Ensure system integrity and use analytics tools for decision-making.
- Report key metrics and progress to senior leaders.
- Support the rollout of new systems and ensure compliance with financial standards.
- Embed new ways of working across the team.
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent.
- Experience in finance systems, particularly systems change/implementation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Agresso / BWO is a bonus.
Salary (Rate): 65000
