Summary: The Sustainability and Decarbonisation Project Leader will spearhead initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions within the automotive industry, focusing on procurement and supply chain management. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to implement sustainable practices and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. The position is based in Crewe and requires a proactive leader with a strong background in sustainability frameworks. The contract is for 9 months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Decarbonisation Efforts: Collaborate closely with commodity heads to focus on reduced CO2 material selection and decarbonising our supply base.
- Enhance Chain of Custody: Work with Brand Group leads to develop and integrate "Chain of Custody" processes into current sourcing protocols.
- Deliver Training: Leverage Group networks to adapt and deliver effective training modules within the procurement function and to strategic suppliers.
- Stay Informed: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key processes and legislation, including ISO14001, CSDDD, and the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG).
- Champion Compliance: Ensure adherence to the EC Directive 2000/53EC, ZEV Mandate UK, and EUDR to drive corporate sustainability initiatives.
Key Skills:
