Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of the design of the suspension/axle concept and associated CAD geometry.
- Develop the Axle CAD concept and integrate corner modules and axle links into subframes and the rest of the vehicle.
Key Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering based degree (MEng, BEng, MSc or BSc) or equivalent experience.
- Experienced user of Catia v6 (Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE) with a working knowledge of kinematics.
- Knowledge of suspension design fundamentals, packaging, and functional requirements.
- High levels of personal organisation, driven, self-motivated, and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills.
- Ability to manage and resolve complex, cross-functional, technical issues under project timing constraints.
- Willingness to learn and introduce new methods to increase personal and team effectiveness.

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Suspension to join their team on a rolling contract basis working 40 hours per week
Job Description
- Reporting to the Axle Function & Integration Chapter Leader, this role requires an individual to lead the delivery of the design of the suspension/axle concept and associated CAD geometry to meet the agreed timing for multiple nameplates off a platform.
- Lead the development of the Axle CAD concept and integration of corner modules and axle links into subframes and rest of vehicle for all vehicles across a platform
Skills:
Essential:
- Mechanical Engineering based degree (MEng, BEng, MSc or BSc) or equivalent experience
- Experienced user of Catia v6 (Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE) with a working knowledge of kinematics
- Knowledge of suspension design fundamentals, suspension packaging & functional requirements
- High levels of personal organisation, driven, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
- The ability to manage and resolve complex, cross functional, technical issues when confronted with conflicting requirements within project timing constraints
- Willingness to learn and introduce new methods to increase personal and team effectiveness
