Supporting Functional Tester

Summary: We are seeking a Supporting Functional Tester for a 3-6 month contract in London, requiring expertise in BASE24 and payment processing. The role involves executing functional test cases, defect triaging, and maintaining test documentation, with a focus on both manual and automated testing. Candidates should have 4-5 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of functional testing principles. The position supports the delivery of high-quality payment systems in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute predefined functional test cases for various components of the application, including backend and API layers.
• Document and report test results, log defects, and perform initial defect triaging.
• Conduct manual testing for functional, regression, and integration test scenarios.
• Assist in updating and maintaining automation test suites using tools like Selenium, Iliad, or RestAssured.
• Support API testing and validation (REST and SOAP) using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Perform end-to-end workflow testing to ensure the integrity of transaction processing.
• Work with senior QA team members and developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation in test case management tools.

Key Skills:

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in functional testing, including both manual and automation.
• Proficient in defect tracking and reporting using tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Exposure to API testing (REST/SOAP) and real-time data validations.
• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Iliad, RestAssured, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge and testing exposure to BASE24 systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to executing test scenarios.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
