Summary: We are seeking a proactive Onsite Support Engineer with expertise in device deployment and retail IT rollouts. This role involves supporting IT setups and network deployments across various store locations, collaborating with vendors and project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in imaging and providing user support during rollouts. The position is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, image, and deploy laptops and end-user devices at scale
- Provide onsite user support during and after rollouts
- Support new store openings and refurbishments (IT and network setup)
- Assist with network installations (Routers, Switches, Wi-Fi) and connectivity checks
- Track deployment progress and resolve issues to minimise disruption
- Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and project stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IT standards
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with laptop imaging tools (eg Intune, SCCM, Autopilot)
- Solid knowledge of Windows (macOS desirable)
- Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS)
- Experience in device rollouts and multi-site environments (retail preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organisational skills
