Summary: The Support Engineer role at the Ministry of Justice involves managing the deployment lifecycle of new technology services for Judicial/VIP users across multiple sites in North East England. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality desk-side IT support to Judicial/VIP users across multiple locations.
- Manage the full deployment lifecycle - from device build and configuration to final handover.
- Work independently to resolve issues, take ownership of tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Maintain strong relationships with senior users, handling interactions with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Ensure timely delivery and execution of appointments and handovers to high standards.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in desk-side IT support or a similar user-facing technical role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with senior users, including Judges and VIPs.
- Experience with device delivery, build, and configuration for users.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and resolving challenges proactively.
- Ability to absorb and apply new project processes quickly, effectively managing end-to-end scheduling and device deployment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all appointments and handovers are executed on time and to high standards.
- SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role.
