Summary: The Supply Chain & Quality Manager (SCQM) will serve as the primary operational liaison between Airbus and nominated suppliers, overseeing the purchase phase of the supply chain process. This role requires managing hardware delivery to projects while ensuring adherence to performance and quality standards. The SCQM will also engage in risk management, supplier evaluations, and quality audits, necessitating strong communication and negotiation skills. On-site presence at suppliers may be required to facilitate effective collaboration and oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• OQOT delivery of hardware from suppliers
• Day-to-day contact with the supplier and management of contract execution; timely and accurate reporting to Programme Managers
• Facilitate appropriate technical interaction between project Engineering and the supplier
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the supplier to control and improve their performance
• Identify risks and propose/agree on mitigating actions
• Manage Qualification, Design, Manufacturing, Test & Shipment reviews
• Take minutes and drive actions to completion
• Manage NCR's/Deviations and chair Non-Conformance Review Meetings
• Act as a quality interface for MIP's, EEE and M&P
• Support quality audits as required
• Complete annual supplier evaluations
• Provide local follow-up/support to development plans
• Escalate issues at the supplier or within Airbus as relevant

Key Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain / Engineering / Quality / Manufacturing
• Background in Aerospace, preferably in the Space industry
• Ability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks
• Strong communication skills including active listening and empathy
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence, and convince others
• Knowledge of Procurement IT tools would be beneficial
• Excellent skills in relationship building, team building, empowering, motivating others, and conflict management
• Negotiation level of English
