Summary: The Supply Chain Project Manager role focuses on leading supply chain initiatives within a UK-leading retailer, emphasizing freight forwarding and logistics optimization. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supply chain projects with a strong focus on freight forwarding and logistics optimisation
- Manage and improve the end-to-end supply chain process across suppliers, 3PLs, and internal stakeholders
- Identify bottlenecks, pain points, and inefficiencies throughout the supply chain
- Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to develop, track, and implement resolutions to ongoing issues
- Deliver project milestones on time and within budget, reporting to senior stakeholders
- Support transformation efforts across freight, warehousing, and distribution
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in supply chain and logistics, ideally within retail or FMCG
- In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding, logistics providers, and global shipping processes
- Strong experience working with 3PLs, freight partners, and cross-functional supply chain teams
- Ability to identify root causes and deliver effective, pragmatic solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management, supplier engagement, and communication skills
- Experience managing projects outside IR35 desirable
