Summary: The Supply Chain Planning Specialist is responsible for supporting daily master planning and supply execution planning activities using APO and Excel. This role serves as the primary contact for end users regarding SEP process inquiries and system issues, while also coordinating with various teams to ensure planning accuracy. The specialist will monitor planning data, assist in troubleshooting, and provide user training to enhance process compliance and adoption. Additionally, the position involves participating in continuous improvement initiatives and preparing planning reports and analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily master planning and Supply Execution Planning activities using APO and Excel.
- Act as the first point of contact for end users regarding SEP process questions and system issues.
- Coordinate with production, supply chain, and planning teams to ensure planning accuracy and alignment.
- Monitor planning data, identify inconsistencies, and support corrective actions.
- Assist in troubleshooting APO-related issues and escalate complex incidents to IT/support teams when required.
- Support testing activities, system enhancements, and process improvements related to planning tools.
- Provide user guidance, training, and knowledge sharing to improve end-user adoption and process compliance.
- Ensure planning master data is maintained accurately and consistently.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for supply planning and execution processes.
- Prepare planning reports, KPIs, and analysis using Excel and APO tools.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Master Planning, or Production Planning.
- Hands-on experience with SAP APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization).
- Strong Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and planning support.
- Understanding of manufacturing and supply execution processes.
- Ability to analyze planning issues and coordinate resolutions across teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting end users in a key-user or super-user capacity is preferred.
- SAP APO certification or relevant SAP planning experience preferred.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of planning KPIs, forecasting, and inventory management concepts.
