Summary: The Supply Chain Manager role is based in South Birmingham and involves overseeing the end-to-end supply chain function within a growing SME manufacturing business. Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and enhancing supply chain processes, SOPs, and operational frameworks
- Driving measurable improvements in OTIF, inventory accuracy, and service performance
- Strengthening Health & Safety practices, including risk assessments and compliance standards
- Improving demand planning, forecasting, and stock control processes
- Developing supplier relationships and improving commercial performance
- Overseeing ERP usage and ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Establishing KPI frameworks, reporting structures, and performance tracking
- Leading and developing a small team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in a hands-on supply chain leadership role within an SME manufacturing business
- A track record of delivering process improvement and operational change
- Proven success improving OTIF, inventory accuracy, and service KPIs
- Experience across procurement, supplier management, and inventory control
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and risk management frameworks
- Experience implementing or refining SOPs and operational processes
- A proactive, "can-do" approach with the ability to influence across all levels of the business
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- H&S qualifications (e.g. IOSH) would be advantageous

Your new role
