Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Procurement & Supply Chain team, ensuring the right skills and capabilities are in place.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members for continuous development.
  • Deliver and maintain robust procurement and supply chain procedures aligned with best practices.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and supplier management.
  • Manage supplier assessments, onboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Identify supply chain risks and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with project delivery, design, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support bid and estimating teams with procurement strategy input.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and performance trends for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead supplier audits and manage resolution of non-conformities.
  • Contribute to the wider commercial and operational objectives of the business.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement or supply chain role within a project-based engineering or manufacturing environment (10+ years).
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, contracts, and performance.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and quality documentation in regulated industries.
  • Chartered Member of CIPS or working towards.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Project Management (desirable).
  • Previous experience in Nuclear, Defence, or other regulated sectors (desirable).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation (desirable).

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and manage the Procurement & Supply Chain team, ensuring the right skills and capabilities are in place to support the business.

  • Procurement Operations
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, from sourcing to contract award and supplier management.
  • Ensure goods and services are procured cost-effectively, meeting technical, quality, delivery, and safety requirements.
  • Manage supplier assessments, onboarding, and performance reviews across key metrics.
  • Identify supply chain risks and drive mitigation strategies to ensure delivery continuity.
  • Project Support & Commercial Integration
  • Work closely with project delivery, design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align supply chain activity with project objectives.
  • Support bid and estimating teams with procurement strategy input on tenders and proposals.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs, supplier data, and performance trends to support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in client and contractor meetings as a key point of contact for supply chain matters.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policy, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead supplier audits and manage resolution of non-conformities in a timely manner.
  • Apply appropriate terms and conditions of contract, including client flow downs where required.
  • Contribute to the wider commercial and operational objectives of the business.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement or supply chain role within a project-based engineering or manufacturing environment (10+ years).
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, contracts, and performance.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and quality documentation in regulated industries.
  • Chartered Member of CIPS or working towards.

Desirable:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Project Management.
  • Previous experience in Nuclear, Defence, or other regulated sectors.
