Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a well-respected professional organisation based in Milton Keynes to recruit a Supplier Relationship Manager for their technology and business services to join their newly established procurement function.
This is a six-month temporary opportunity that offers good flexibility, hybrid working (two days a week in the office in Milton Keynes), excellent work environment, and a strong work–life balance, with a pay rate of up to £450 a day via Umbrella company.
These roles will play a critical part in shaping and embedding the SRM approach, helping to develop best practice processes and tools while engaging with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework
- Build and refine the SRM toolkit and supporting documentation
- Help establish best practice processes and governance standards
- Engage with internal stakeholders across Technology and Business Services
- Prioritise engagement with high-risk and strategically important suppliers
- Assist with supplier segmentation and risk categorisation aligned with governance requirements
- Support reporting requirements relating to supplier risk, controls, and mitigation strategies
- Work closely with procurement leadership to embed SRM practices across the organisation
- Contribute to the development of an evolving SRM manual and operating model
Environment
Newly formed procurement function currently building capability and structure
Approximately 1,300 suppliers across the organisation
Focus on identifying and managing material, strategic, and high-risk suppliers
Governance-driven environment with strong regulatory oversight
Candidate Profile
Strong experience in Supplier Relationship Management, Procurement, or Vendor Management
Experience developing SRM frameworks, toolkits, or governance processes
Ability to work autonomously and deliver at pace
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions
Strong understanding of supplier risk management and supplier segmentation
Experience working in governance-heavy or regulated environments is advantageous but not essential
Highly adaptable with a proactive, hands-on approach
