Summary: The Supplier Quality Auditor / Supplier Quality Engineer (AS9100) role involves ensuring compliance and quality assurance within a regulated defence/aerospace environment by conducting supplier audits and collaborating with various teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and conducting AS9100 supplier audits using structured tools and methodologies
- Assessing supplier compliance against technical, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Raising, tracking, and closing non conformances and corrective actions
- Supporting supplier development and continuous improvement activities
- Reviewing inspection evidence and quality data (not a shop floor inspection role)
- Producing clear audit reports, root cause analysis, and executive summaries
Key Skills:
- AS9100 auditor trained or operating at SQA / Lead Auditor level within an AS9100 environment
- Proven experience auditing mechanical or electro mechanical suppliers
- Background in quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing engineering
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and metrology principles
- Confident using 8D, RCA, DMAIC and structured problem solving tools
- Familiarity with SAP QM, Excel reporting, and quality documentation systems

We're looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Auditor (AS9100) to support and assure a diverse mechanical and electro mechanical supplier network within a regulated defence/aerospace environment.
This role focuses on external supplier audits, compliance assurance, and corrective action, working closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure right first time quality.
