Summary: The Supplier Lead Auditor will join the Quality Department's Supplier Audit and CFSI Team to oversee audits of the Project Supply Chain for a major energy infrastructure project in Somerset. This role involves planning, executing, and reporting on audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and project protocols. The position requires significant UK and international travel to supplier locations and is a 12-month contract classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete audits of the Project Supply Chain at various locations globally and on-site in Somerset.
  • Plan, execute, report, and manage audit findings and analysis for management reporting.
  • Develop a risk-based Supplier Audit programme ensuring conformance to ISO 9001 and project protocols.
  • Liaise with various functions to incorporate their inputs into audit planning and outcomes.
  • Define the scope, criteria, and objectives for each Supplier Audit in collaboration with management leads.
  • Conduct unplanned audits based on urgent operational needs identified through risk reviews.
  • Ensure effective planning and engagement of stakeholders for audits.
  • Identify and categorize audit findings accurately.
  • Produce and publish audit reports within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor non-conformance and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the monthly dashboard report on the Supplier Audit Programme's health.
  • Analyze audit results to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide audit performance data for the annual Project management review process.
  • Coordinate with Integrated Management System Engineers for audit data review.
  • Share experiences and learning opportunities with other Supplier Lead Auditors.

Key Skills:

  • Lead Auditor qualification ISO 9001:2015.
  • Experience in manufacturing and industrial processes.
  • Proven experience executing audit programmes.
  • Solid understanding of quality processes in major projects.
  • Experience interfacing with project teams and supply chain organizations.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong organizational and self-management skills.
  • Ability to advocate for best practices and support practical solutions.
  • Data analysis, report preparation, and recommendation skills.
  • Influencing and constructive challenge abilities.
  • Effective relationship-building with stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Desirable: Experience with Positive Material Identification techniques.
