As a Supplier and Contract Manager, you will know your internal support network and when to escalate issues/risks or when further information is required on contract terms and conditions. This is a varied role that will harness your skills and experience; you will support the work with the Finance team to ensure that OSD s 3rd Party budget is being managed appropriately and that forecasts accurately reflect actual and emerging requirements in addition to providing cover for your band 2 (Civil service grade 7) manager on contracts/meetings as required, in addition to the range of duties below.Main Duties Managing relationships with strategic partners to enable sound partnership arrangements Supporting and in some cases leading on new procurement activitiesEngage with business stakeholders to understand and transfer their requirements into a Supplier Service Request in order to support with new procurement activities. Assist in the management of the acquisition of services for OSD, engaging with Procurement Unit, Finance Dept. and key stakeholders.Be adept at communicating with colleagues and will be able to effectively manage relationships with strategic partners and appointed contractors, evidencing your clear understanding of supplier and contract management.Lead supplier management meetings and monitor consumption, utilisation and spend against budget/profile, directly managing relationships with suppliers including the handling of any escalations and performance issues.Coaching and mentoring junior members of staff.Work can be done from any HSE office, but there will be expectation of some travel to HSE s Bootle Head Office (and other offices) as and when required by the role.
