Key Skills:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a team member and independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple time-critical requests.
  • Experience in a volume environment with effective workload prioritization.
  • Knowledge of NATS business systems, including Ariba eProcurement (desirable).
  • Good experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with internet/intranet tools and ideally SAP.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Purpose/Overview

To provide support to members of the procurement team by providing supplier and contract administration.

Duties Include

  • Renewing contracts that are approaching their expiration date for suppliers with whom we have an ongoing need.
  • Onboarding of new suppliers by: Ensuring new suppliers to NATS complete the Supplier Assurance Questionnaire (JOSCAR) and provide information and documentation (e.g. insurance details) necessary to their registration.
  • Reviewing supplier responses to the Supplier Assurance Questionnaire to ensure they meet NATS standards, following up where necessary and escalating to Category Managers when appropriate.
  • Undertaking the Supplier Risk Assessment and Bribery Risk Assessment for suppliers.
  • Registering new supplier details on NATS procurement systems.
  • Reviewing suppliers’ details and risk assessments on an annual basis, following up where necessary and escalating to Category Managers when appropriate.
  • Ensuring contract information is captured within the NATS procurement system.
  • Managing the electronic signature process for contracts and other documents that need signing.
  • Sourcing quotes from suppliers against stakeholder’s requirements.
  • Undertaking periodic and ad-hoc reporting and spend analysis.
  • Contract filing and general administration.
  • Completing work within NATS Supply Chain process and policies.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 5 GSCEs or equivalent
  • Experience of working both as a team member and independently.
  • Previous experience dealing with multiple requests from customers, some of which may be time critical.
  • Experience of working in a volume environment with effective workload prioritisation to meet challenging deadlines to a high standard.
  • Existing knowledge of NATS business systems, including Ariba eProcurement, is desirable.
  • Good experience of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate experience of Microsoft Excel (should be able to join data from different sources together and be familiar with pivot tables).
  • Use of internet/intranet based tools and, ideally SAP.
  • The ability to assimilate and disseminate information promptly, passing on relevant information as appropriate.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, planning and organisational skills with a demonstrable ability to produce clear, concise and accurate information and reports.
  • A high standard of written and verbal communication skills and able to interact effectively with staff at all levels and suppliers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focussed approach and a can-do attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy being paramount, together with the confidence to recognising errors and report them for timely resolution.
