Summary: The SUMIT Programme Manager will oversee the PEACEPLUS SUMIT project, ensuring its delivery aligns with contractual obligations to the funder, SEUPB. This role involves coordinating efforts across multiple partners, maintaining project standards, and managing risks and financial controls. The position requires significant project management experience, particularly with large-scale, multi-institutional projects. The successful candidate will also engage with various stakeholders, including academic institutions and funding bodies, to foster collaboration and achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of the PEACEPLUS SUMIT project in accordance with funder requirements.
- Liaise with project partners, acting as a contact point between stakeholders.
- Define and maintain project standards and support the Programme and Strategic Advisory Boards.
- Monitor risks and issues, ensuring adherence to recruitment and procurement procedures.
- Implement financial controls in line with university and funder processes.
- Manage large budgets and ensure compliance with GDPR in data management.
- Prepare management plans and progress reports for senior management and external boards.
- Lead a team and foster collaborative partnerships to achieve project objectives.
Key Skills:
- A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
- Minimum of 4 years’ management/professional experience in similar roles.
- Significant project management experience with large-scale multi-institutional projects.
- Experience presenting to senior management and external boards.
- Networking and collaboration skills across various sectors.
- High-level knowledge of managing EU funded projects.
- Experience in managing large budgets and report writing.
- Leadership experience in team and partnership settings.
