By working closely with our partner agencies, businesses and residents we aim to create and maintain a safe environment for all.As a Suicide Prevention & Project Officer, you will have knowledge of planning regulations and health impact assessments. Strong awareness of suicide prevention guidance & initiatives to engage with businesses and organisations on the issue of suicide prevention across the City are also required.Being part of a small team experience or understanding of planning, suicide prevention, policy & strategy delivery and effective engagement will all be valuable.Your work will support the Suicide Prevention Lead Officer and the wider Public Health systems in the coordination of responses to a wide range of issues. You will be organised, motivated with the ability to negotiate and influence. You will need an outcome focused approach to ensure the most appropriate resources are utilised.To be successful in this role you will need to analyse complex information, evaluate projects and present progress reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.In this role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new policies and initiatives. You will represent the team at various partnership meetings - contributing to developing partnership solutions. If you are a confident negotiator with excellent problem solving skills and are passionate about helping make the City a safer place everyone can enjoy this could be the role for you.You will be IT literate with experience of preparing reports and action.
