Summary: The Substance Misuse Recovery Worker role involves supporting service users in their treatment and recovery journey within a three-month contract in Rotherham. The position requires full-time commitment from Monday to Friday, focusing on reducing alcohol-related harm and promoting community involvement. Key responsibilities include assessment, recovery planning, and advocacy for service users. An Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS is necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
- Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
- Reducing alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination
Key Skills:
- Experience in substance misuse recovery or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop recovery plans
- Advocacy skills for accessing partnership services
- Understanding of community involvement and support systems
- Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS clearance
