Summary: The Sub-Investigator Clinical Trials/Resident Medical Officer role at Re:Cognition Health involves providing expert clinical care to patients while ensuring their safety and well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Working under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator and Consultants on all SI/RMO responsibilities and delegated duties
- Performing responsibilities and duties in accordance with ICH, GCP, CQC, GMC, MHRA, and company guidelines
- Conduct follow-up consultations focused on monitoring symptoms, treatment response, and side effects
- Prescribe and manage patients/subjects dosing in line with PI/consultant instructions and clinical protocols
- Review patients/subjects histories, investigation results, and ongoing care needs
- Escalate complex cases or concerns to the PI/consultant, promptly
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients/subjects regarding treatment plans and next steps
- Demonstrate an accurate and comprehensive understanding of the informed consent process, for both trials and services
- Maintain adequate control of study drug/private service drugs and appropriate records of drug disposition
- Ensure prompt reporting of serious and unexpected adverse events to the PI/Consultant
- Participate in SI/RMO rota to ensure patients/subjects appointments and clinical needs are covered during the opening hours of RCH Centres
- Support occasional out of hours activity, to ensure patient safety is maintained
- Maintain adequate records of patients/subjects participation in trials/services
- Participate in internal training and CPD activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills
- Deliver services to patients/subjects in line with good governance practices
- Perform other duties of an administrative nature appropriate to your position
Key Skills:
- Medically qualified and registered with the GMC
- Minimum of 1 year experience, post qualifying, in the UK
- Experience in emergency medicine
- Experience with neurological conditions
- Experience in research in relevant clinical topics
- Desirable: Experience in working in clinical trials
- Desirable: Experience in delivering private services

- To support occasional out of hours activity, to ensure patient safety is maintained.
- Maintaining adequate records of patients/subjects participation in trials/services
- Participate in internal training and CPD activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills via delegated trainings and RCH Academy.
- Deliver services to our patients/subjects in line with good governance practices.
- To perform other duties of an administrative nature appropriate to your position which may be required from time to time
The Candidate
To be considered for our Sub-Investigator Clinical Trials/Resident Medical Officer role, you will have the following skills and experience:
Essential
Applicants must be medically qualified, and registered with the GMC.
Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience, post qualifying, in the UK
Applicants must have experience of emergency medicine
Applicants must have experience of neurological conditions
Applicants must have experience of research in relevant clinical topics
Desirable
Experience in working in clinical trials
