Summary: The role of Sub Agent involves leading and delivering work packages for a significant highways upgrade project in Gloucestershire. This position is contract-based and classified as outside IR35. The successful candidate will manage site operations, ensuring safety and quality while engaging with various stakeholders. A strong background in civil engineering and experience in major infrastructure projects is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site & Team Management: Oversee direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality work.
- Programme & Production: Manage section programmes, monitor progress, and optimize resources.
- Technical & Quality: Review designs, produce LTQRs, and resolve site technical queries.
- Commercial & Contractual: Track early warnings, NCRs, RFIs, and advise on liabilities.
- Temporary Works: Manage designs, inspections, and permits for temporary works.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with clients, designers, and subcontractors.
Key Skills:
- Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
- Proven Sub Agent/Senior Engineer experience on major highways/infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience with earthworks and drainage.
- Solid understanding of temporary works management and NEC contracts.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
- CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid highly desirable. UK Driving License.
