Summary: The role of Sub Agent involves leading and delivering work packages for a significant highways upgrade project in Gloucestershire. This position is contract-based and classified as outside IR35. The successful candidate will manage site operations, ensuring safety and quality while engaging with various stakeholders. A strong background in civil engineering and experience in major infrastructure projects is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site & Team Management: Oversee direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality work.
  • Programme & Production: Manage section programmes, monitor progress, and optimize resources.
  • Technical & Quality: Review designs, produce LTQRs, and resolve site technical queries.
  • Commercial & Contractual: Track early warnings, NCRs, RFIs, and advise on liabilities.
  • Temporary Works: Manage designs, inspections, and permits for temporary works.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with clients, designers, and subcontractors.

Key Skills:

  • Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
  • Proven Sub Agent/Senior Engineer experience on major highways/infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience with earthworks and drainage.
  • Solid understanding of temporary works management and NEC contracts.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid highly desirable. UK Driving License.

Salary (Rate): £460.00 Daily

The Role: We're seeking a proactive Sub Agent to lead and deliver specific work packages on a nationally significant highways upgrade in Gloucestershire. This is an Outside IR35 contract.
