Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structured cabling related installations - Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, telephony, and fibre optics.
- Assume a lead role on multi-personnel installations when required.
- Prepare and understand site-specific Risk Assessments as needed.
- Complete all project-related engineer’s documentation as required.
- Act as the point of contact and liaison with customers during installations when in a lead role.
Key Skills:
- Experience and understanding of structured network cabling and installation.
- Flexibility in working hours and travel.
- Full and valid UK driving license.
- Aim2Learn Certification (Desirable).
- City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling in an Internal Environment or equivalent (Desirable).
- City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling in an External Environment or equivalent (Desirable).
- City & Guilds Copper Cabling in an Internal Environment or equivalent (Desirable).

£24,000 - £38,000 per year (depending on level of entry)

We have a number of cabling engineering positions available, ranging from Junior through to Senior Level Roles. The Salaries depending on your level of experience will range between £24,085 and £34,261 + an additional £4,000 per year on average, for travel time. On top of this there is an additional option for overtime.
Annular Group are partnered with a rapidly expanding network infrastructure business who specialise in providing advanced network solutions to the SME and mid-size commercial markets. On the back of a period of unprecedented growth, there are newly created roles for fiber and cabling engineers.
You will be working within a multidisciplinary operations team with a range of clients across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-organised individual to provide Network Installation services to a range of new and existing customers who operate across a range of vertical markets.
You are required to work on your initiative, unsupervised, and to tight deadlines, both individually and as part of a team. You will need to display an ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff and customers.
Responsibilities
- Cabling Engineers
- Structured Cabling related installations - Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, telephony and fibre optics.
- Assume a lead role if required on multi-personnel installations.
- Preparation and understanding of site-specific Risk Assessments, on occasion as required.
- Completion of all project-related engineer’s documentation, on occasion as required.
- Be the point of contact and liaison with customers during installation when assuming a lead role.
Essential skills to be considered as the junior cabling engineer:
- Be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of structured network cabling and installation
- Flexibility of working hours and traveling are key requirements of this role.
- Full and valid UK driving license.
