Summary: The Marine Designer role involves supporting the Marine Team as a Senior Designer, coordinating with various stakeholders, and delivering project tasks within set timelines and budgets. The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Marine Team as a Senior Designer.
  • Liaise with other disciplines, clients, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with project team members across global offices.
  • Deliver tasks within timelines and budget constraints.
  • Create project-specific job notes, guides, and training materials.
  • Organize schedules and resources to meet project deadlines.
  • Break project tasks down to drawing level and estimate resources for milestones.
  • Manage a remote team of designers.
  • Work efficiently both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Identify priorities and respond flexibly to urgent issues.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Key Skills:

  • Marine and Structural Designer with formal qualification or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Aveva Marine.
  • Able to advise and guide junior designers.
  • Ability to manage a remote team of designers.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
