Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and monitoring applications for work permits from contractors and companies for the road network.
  • Processing and administering traffic orders.
  • Updating and maintaining the permit scheme database and website with street works activities.
  • Processing and recording payments for all chargeable activities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of traffic management plans and reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and minimizing disruption to the network.

Key Skills:

  • Administrative background with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of the Isle of Wight.
  • Previous highways experience is an advantage.
  • Good level of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
