Summary: The Strategic Planning Consultant role involves collaborating with a team to develop a unified plan for high-priority deliverables within a FTSE250 business. The consultant will implement new working methods, manage the development of a three-year integrated plan, and facilitate strategic sessions to enhance collaboration following a team merger. The position requires a consultative approach to support the Director and ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the planning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to develop a unified plan on high priority deliverables, establishing clear objectives and timelines
- Implement new ways of working to support smooth execution
- Programme manage the development of an integrated 3-year plan for the function
- Facilitate strategic thinking sessions
- Ensure stakeholder engagement and input is captured and reflected throughout
- Identify key metrics and KPIs for long-term impact measurement
- Use internal insight and external best practice to inform planning
- Recommend and embed better collaboration practices
Key Skills:
- Experience in a similar workforce planning / strategic programme role
- Experience delivering presentations and recommendations to the board
- Experience shaping a function and ways of working
- Experience in a large matrixed environment
- Able to act consultative and offer support and guidance to the Director
- Experience in a consultancy or operating as a consultant highly desirable
Salary (Rate): £800 daily

Our client, a household name and FTSE250 business, are looking to hire a Strategic Planner to help scope one of their functions. Partnering with the Director of the function this individual will make sure the right resource is allocated in the right places.
The information in the function is currently disjointed and they’re looking to increase collaboration following the merging of two teams. They are presenting a resource strategy to the board and need an expert consultant to help plan.
The Role
