Summary: The role of Strategic Finance within a hyper-growth marketplace scaleup involves serving as a key business partner and strategic advisor, particularly focusing on go-to-market (GTM) and research & development (R&D) functions. The position requires collaboration with the CFO and senior stakeholders to analyze financial metrics, create complex financial models, and support corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, consultancy, or banking, and demonstrate a proactive and ambitious work ethic. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on analysing and reporting on financial and non-financial metrics and KPIs
- Create complex financial models & have ultimate ownership
- Take the lead on business case preparation and review
- Support CFO on corporate transactions including future M&A
- Become a trusted senior figurehead within the business whose inputs, insights and recommendations are truly respected, actioned and implemented
- Partner with VP / C Suite / Board and Investors
Key Skills:
- Big 4 ACA qualified (Deals / M&A / TS)
- MBB management consultancy or Bulge bracket banking background
- Rapid-scale tech sector experience (late stage VC or PE)
- Highly effective business partner with expansive senior stakeholder management
- Able to advise, challenge and influence
- Analytical and hands-on by nature, happy rolling your sleeves up and building complex models from scratch
- Highly proficient with business intelligence and data visualisation tools
